Pull Up a Chair. All Are Welcome Here (goyim too hahaha)

Welcome to the unedited, slightly chaotic, and always dramatic thought process of your favorite Jewish internet sister. I overthink everything from Torah portions to the existential dread of an empty coffee pot. This blog is where my Jewish soul, my ba'alat teshuvah/convert journey, and my unsolicited opinions on pop culture collide.

Jews, Christians, Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, Atheists, Agnostics, Spiritualists, and the "Still Figuring It Out" crowd: You ALL have a seat at this table. We don't have it all figured out, but we're laughing on the way.

Think Jewish Google with worse algorithms but better jokes. I explain Jewish stuff .For anyone who's ever wondered about Judaism or just wants to feel like they belong somewhere. All welcome.

Who am I?

Hi, I'm Chana F.

At 20, most of my friends are figuring out careers or what to major in. I was figuring out my soul. I come from a Sephardic background, but my journey took me deeper, leading me to formally convert to Judaism. It was the most honest yes I've ever said to myself.

That choice came with a cost. My family... isn't the most accepting. There's a quiet space where their understanding should be, and that hurts. But in that space, I found a different kind of family—a chosen family in my community, in the ancient rhythms of Jewish life, and in a connection to G-d that is entirely, beautifully my own.

So now, I'm a Sephardic soul who davens at an Ashkenazi shul, a convert who is more certain of her Jewishness than almost anything else, and a young woman building a life filled with the light I chose.

This blog is my heart, spilled out. It's for everyone who has ever chosen their own truth, even when it was hard. It's for anyone who wants to laugh, learn, and see the beautiful, messy, real side of building a Jewish life from the ground up.

I love being Jewish. I love Jewish life. And I'm so glad you're here to share it with me.
